At time of billing A070, it’s better to pair it with the right special visiting premium based on care setting:
- K premiumis for emergency visits
- W premiumis for long-term care patients
- C premiumis for hospital inpatients
Important Note
For such consultations, overall listing visit codes with the “A” prefix should always be used. Consult codes with the “C” prefix are only used for non-emergency inpatient consultations; they are not eligible for special visit insurance rates.
